Kynna Wright-Volel, PhD, RN, MPH, FAAN, used the data from her RWJF Nurse Faculty Scholar research study as a foundation for her current NIH funded grant. She will use this five year, $1.2 million grant to work with the Los Angeles Unified School District to launch Project SHAPE LA, a school-health program targeting 24 middle schools in underserved areas in Los Angeles to help increase physical activity among youth.
